Creating value by promoting fairness and transparency in the Forex market, ensuring the effectiveness of the trading process and equal treatment of every market participant.
Who we are
We are an independent organisation responsible for alternative, self regulatory, supervision of financial services for our members and an external dispute resolution (arbitration) commission dedicated specifically to Forex.
Most financial authorities are established by governments and are responsible for the overall scope of our regulatory activities and powers. We act as an additional layer of regulation and supervisory for participants in international financial markets, advisors, exchanges, traders and brokers.
What we do
We set the standards, monitor and enforce the compliance of the said rules by our members, to ensure fair and ethical business behaviour, and to offer high-quality services and an excellent environment for investing in Forex markets.
We also ensure that consumers and brokers are getting their disputes resolved in a quick, efficient, unbiased and authentic manner to facilitate a simpler, swifter resolution than through industry regulators and the legal system.
The rules and standards for conducting operations in Forex markets should be the same for everyone, regardless of jurisdiction. We held our members to higher standards where necessary:
- Must be subject to recurrent audits, reviews and evaluations to check that they meet the industry standards
- Capital requirements which require them to hold a sufficient amount of funds to be able to execute and complete foreign exchange contracts
- Segregation of funds: all client funds must be held in separate bank accounts, which provides traders with a layer of protection against the broker misusing their funds.
In this complex world of Forex market sometimes it is inevitable that along the line things will not go smoothly. It may be an honest mistake or it may be flagrant fraud. In either case, we have set procedures to deal with the ensuing disputes for consumers/traders who are unable to resolve conflicts with members of the IFSRB.
We act in good faith and we provide equal opportunities to all participants in resolving disputes, discrepancies and other conflict situations between parties, regardless of their jurisdiction.
